"A scar from the past aches. When time passes, it fades... I'm not used to living a lie. It's breaking the body. My necklace came off in the city. I wasn't alone when I lost it... Throwing off my decorated clothes, I give a graceful fighting pose to you. When the evil times come and the villain gets distressful, we all stay connected by our fire soul love destiny... Sabra Hola. The following scans are from the March 23rd 2006 issue of Sabra magazine. It features Komatsu Ayaka on the cover, under the article titled, "Senshi of Love 2006." (Yes, it does make references to Sailor Moon.) For those of you unfamiliar with Sabra, it is a teen boys' magazine and is equivalent to what Maxim is in the US. Half of the magazine are idols, while the other half discusses politics, games, music, movies, and more. And because of this, Sabra is considered a more respectable magazine than your typical idol mags. Really famous actresses (Chiaki Kuriyama), singers (Utada Hikaru), and idols (Ogura Yuko) have been known to grace the cover of the magazine (fully clothed or in swim suit gear) when they become famous for what they do. Most of the magazine features girls in classy poses and images (kinda like your Sports Illustrated). So for Ayaka to grace this month's cover, you can say that it is a historical moment for her because she is being recognized as a popular idol. However, I find it to be a little disappointing upon flipping open the magazine. Three-Lights.net has not been keeping up with Sabra for almost two years now, and I am sad to find that Sabra have dropped their standards for how the idols look (kinda skanky and trashy now). Ayaka actually had about 10 pages of pictures in here, but being annoyed by some, I took out 4 and a half pages. (For some reason, whenever I say that I take out images from the set, a few people ALWAYS email me asking for them. WELL NO. DON'T. Unless you want to feel my wrath, don't email me asking for me to send you the missing images. End of story.) |
