Azama Mew, Sawai Miyuu and Komatsu Ayaka from PGSM all appeared in the November 2003 issue of Sabra magazine. The magazine was doing a special feature on actresses from "sentai" shows. Only one or two images of the PGSM actresses were published in the actual magazine. Sabra then took the rest of the photos from the shoot and made a website for it called, "Sentai 2003." Members must pay 2000 yen to access the photos. Included are Kuroki Marina and Iizuka Yui from the Sera Myu shows. There are a total of 50 sailor senshi actress images and 25 autograph "gift" images. All are swimsuit pictures. |

^__^ I think the pictures of the actresses look really pretty. Azama Mew just looks SO elegant in her shoot. Instead of dawning the usual bikini, she settled for a halter and shorts. =) I love the way her hair looks in the photos. Also, Sawai Miyuu's smile just shines! Her expressions show her usual fun self. Ayaka looks very sexy. =) Seriously. The demin bikini is really cute. HOWEVER, despite the actresses all looking so beautiful in the shoot, one can easily tell that the photos have been "tampered" with. Seriously! There is a LARGE amount of airbrushing and touching up done on the photos. Sabra could've done a better job with it and not make it noticable, but it is. If you look at the side of Mew's cheeks, there is this line that contrasts sharply against her hair. For 75 photos... I suppose that maybe it was worth it... I don't feel too happy about putting $20 bucks for it though. So maybe it isn't worth it. I don't know... I can't decide. Maybe if their editting job didn't suck that much. x.X;; I'm just being a picky brat. I know. Reviewed by [ Lisa ] // Three-Lights.net |

Okay, first of all, I don't know anything about the 2 non-PGSM actresses so my review is going to exclude them. If you compare these pictures to the ones in the actual Nov 2003 Sabra issue, you'll find that some of the photoshoot pictures of each senshi were included in the actual magazine. I think there were a total of 75 pictures in this "Members Only" section for Sabra, so that means there are 10 pictures + 5 autographed picture for each actress. If it were just access to these extra pictures, I think I would be undecided if this special pass would be worth it for 2000 yen. Unlike the S-boon and Megapixels shoots, there is very little variety in these pictures - It's always an actress posing with the same background, just from different angles (Are they sitting on 2 reams of paper, btw??? Lisa's Answer: e.e;; Sadly, they are...). My take on the pictures is - Sabra chose the best pictures to include in the magazine so a lot of the rest are flawed in some way. Would you pay 2000 yen for access to the pictures that didn't make the cut to be included in the magazine? For example, there is one picture of Miyuu where it looks like she's trying to scratch her shoulder. In photoshoots, you don't want to block off parts of your body with an arm or a leg. The same thing applies for one of Ayaka's pictures. What is that right arm doing blocking off her stomach? On the other hand, there was only 1 picture chosen for each of the actresses (except Miyuu Sawai who got 2). The other way to look at it is - Well, here's a lot of other good pictures that didn't make it into the magazine because there was limited space to include all of them. I like Mew's the most, mostly because she hasn't had any type of photoshoots before (Ayaka and Miyuu have experience with these type of things) and there really aren't that many pictures of Mew floating around, so it's great just to see pictures of Mew because she's really a beautiful gal. Now, the 2000 yen fee also gives you access to videos of each actress' photoshoot. These video clips are very cool and something that you can't find anywhere else on the net, so that's a big plus with getting exclusive content. Each actress gives a short introduction and then they proceed to the actual photoshoot (which is surprisingly short) and finally there is a short chat session afterwards. Extra pictures and exclusive video clips - methinks the 2000 yen is worth it for this type of content. Also worthy of note is that oftentimes, paying for an online VIP pass like this gets you access to other content at other sites. So it's not just 2000 yen for Sabra's site, but also access to their affiliates' sites as well. Reviewed by [ Mike ] // Three-Lights.net |

These pics are from the rest of the Sabra 2003 photoshoot. Personally I think these pics are not very good. They are faded and discolored. Especially the pictures with the signatures. They have dust and even finger prints. Well onto the pics themselves: They are OK. I've seen better. Although Mew Azama looks her best. In conclusion, they're not very good. These pictures are really nice. Let me tell you now how I pick pictures I like. I enjoy making wallpapers and stuff so I look for pictures that are pretty and good to work with. The pictures are full of smiles, and are very clear. The swim suit the actress that plays Minako wears is so cute! Another good thing is that it is hard to find good photos of Myu actresses. These are some of the best I have seen. But if I had to give the photos one negative, there are lots of photos of the PGSM actresses in swim suits. Also you can find these photos all over the web. So in the end, I would not spend the $20 to see all the photos. If they had photos of the other cast members of PGSM and the Myu(s) then I probably would. I also would liked if you could see the full body, really meaning the toes or finger they cut off. But they are very pretty. ^.^ Reviewed by [ Topaz ] // PGSM World.com |

Personally I wasn't impressed with any of the photos I was asked to review. I was put off immediately by the fact that they were wearing so little. You may think me old fashioned and prudish, but I can think of other things to spend 18 some-odd dollars on thank you very much. Reviewed by [ Day Dreamer ] // Shingetsu Forums |

I honestly think that charging something like this online makes me a little uncomfortable. We are viewing the images; do we have the opportunity to download them? It's easy to right-click and save the picture, but what if the company doesn't allow us to do that? Questions like these run through my brain before trying something like this online. If they mailed me the pictures -- all 75 of them -- I would be rather happy. If they charged me the shipping, I'd be more than happy to pay for it. But to go out and buy paper -- after downloading the pictures (if Sabra allowed it lol) -- in the size those photos came out to be when they were printed -- maybe A4 size -- is a hassle. I've gone through printer shops in New York that scarcely carry A4 paper. I think there's an ultimate advantage for those who love the Myu and the television Live Action series. For example, I only know Miyuu-chan, Mew-chan, and Ayaka-chan. I was -- and probably still am -- not really fond of Marina-chan or Yui-chan because my exposure to Sailor Moon remains sporadic. At first glance, I wondered why Keiko-chan or Chisaki-chan wasn't in it; then it dawned on me that Chisaki-chan was rather young and Kei-chan's too good for it (which is why I absolutely adore her!). I'll stop digressing. ^O^ In retrospect, the one who knows all the characters firsthand may profit more by purchasing this. Undoubtedly, these photos are indeed of good quality. Even the autographs from all of them make the set rather interesting. But why not have the company sell them in print rather than electronically? There's not much people can do with the photos electronically other than photoshop them, &c. Charging $20USD (approximately) for photos that like little time to upload seems trifling to me, and unless the videos are 20 minutes long -- each -- then I probably would save my money and wait for something in print to come out. After all, I can buy a couple of CANDy and Seventeen issues with that kind of money! Reviewed by [ Parvus Imperator ] // Genvid Forums |

An ideal place to start first when deciding to buy a product is price comparison. I noticed that the November 2004 issue of S-Boon is 1050 yen; this includes video clips of the idols & 20 high-quality photoshoot images. Megapixels is at the same price, and a customer can access 30 photos; no video clips. However, this magazine, 'Sabra's Sentai 2003' charges 2000 yen (close to 20 bucks), you may view up to 75 images total of the Senshi, AND you get five video clips, as well. Is it worth it? Sabra's magazine is a year older than the other two subscriptions. So, if you're looking for up-to-date shots, you may want to invest your money somewhere else. On the other hand, Marina and Yui, actresses from the Sera Myu, are included in this offer! Being a Sera Myu fan, this offers more of an incentive. The photos, themselves, I find somewhat plain. However, for someone as naturally stunning as Azama Mew, perhaps the 'special effects' behind her are less important! Comparing the shots to the other two subscriptions, you get twice as many images, but they're not as 'glamorous' as the other two magazines' photography. The 5 clips might sway me to overlook this; you're getting more insider footage than Megapixels' subscription. Autographs are included in the subscription?!? That's cool!... Oh wait... They're just images of the autographed photos... -_-; All in all, I believe it would be worth it to subscribe to Sabra's Sentai 2003. However, if you're looking for images to make banners, avatars, or wallpapers out of, don't expect any images to be too flashy here. But, there are many photos that come with this subscription, so you may just get lucky~! Reviewed by [ Frank ] // Shingetsu Forums |
