"It's morning, just after a rain. The sun sparkles. The rainbow is probably a good omen. Let's get on our bicycles, and rush out of town. Just a little adventure changes the look of the sky. Before our eyes extends a grassy plain. When we lay down our bicycles and take a deep breath, it is marvelous, isn't it...? The clouds, like airplanes, take me along into the serene blue radiance. The sound of the Rails has a gentle Rhythm. Just a little adventure... Changes the look of the scenery...." |
Sawai Miyuu's KISS Photobook ID inspection! ^.^ If you're here, you're over the age of 13, right? If not, don't report me to your parents, or I'll twist someone's ears! Anyhow, the following scans are from Sawai Miyuu's KISS photobook. As you can see, the theme of KISS is VERY different than the theme of Myu. In fact, the purpose of the photographs were not to show Sawai Miyuu's personality at all. The photographer, Takashi Adachi, used this book to capture images of an "asian girl" that WE are mentally familiar with. If you look at each of the pictures, outfits, and scenary that Sawai Miyuu is in, you'd feel some recognition that a photograph like this was done before. For example, the picture where she is dressed in white and sitting in a chair, goes for the Hollywood stereotypical look ( white skin, black hair, red lips, and delicate ). The one where Sawai Miyuu is in a Chinese dress with her face caked with make up is used to represent the 1930's in Shanghai, where most girls were emerging from ordinary stage singers, to becoming stars. And the yellow frilly top with the red bottom skirt represents girls in Hong Kong during the 1960's & 1970's. Sawai Miyuu's purpose in the photobook is to be a model. =) I thought that this was a very different and unique idea. I can't wait to see what her upcoming DVD, "Asian Kiss" will be like. You're only seeing 40 scans! This photobook is now on sale at Amazon.co.jp. |
